The Carpenter Creative Corridor (CCC) is a decentralized community art school along the north Hamtramck/Detroit border. The CCC offers ongoing free public art classes for all and is funded by the Michigan Community Center Grant through the Michigan Community Service Commission.

Three-part free, public wood-fire workshop at Ceramics School

Saturday November 22nd | 2 - 4PM | Public Workshop: Make something! Join us in making some things to fire in our wood kiln! We will cover some hand building techniques.

Saturday December 6th | 2 - 4PM | Public Workshop: Glaze and Load day! Come glaze what you made on the 22nd! We will do a glaze demonstration, chat about surface and kiln atmosphere and do a kiln loading demonstration!

Sunday December 14th | All day | Fire the wood kiln! We will be firing the kiln all day with all of our ceramics in it! Stop through to put some logs into the kiln and learn about the process of firing a wood-fire kiln. You wont want to miss the firing, its really cool! There will be an on-going pot-luck! : - )

Wednesday December 17th | 2-4PM | Work pick-up! Come see all of the amazing things that came out of the kiln.
